REMINDER - First outdoor practice is MONDAY January 30 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM
Everyone please: either show up for this practice or call Jim Moore (918-519-3999) to let him know your plans. The season is upon us. It looks like this could be a very exciting season. Everyone should be working out on your own getting fit for 90 minutes of competitive action.With only 2 or 3 practices a week, there is not enough time to work on conditioning as much as we need to. There has to be strong personal committment to make this successful.

From Proverbs 14:23 "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."So lets quit talking and start playing. I have had no feedback on the $120 fee, so I assume you are all OK with the budget.We have not ordered any new supplies yet.If you want to get the team warmup jackets, we need to collect the fees.

Call if you have any questions. First Practice will be Monday, January 30 at 4 PM.After that, it will be Mondays and Fridays at 4 PM. Everyone needs to start getting in shape now.Mandatory running for a minimum of 4 times each week.Run 30-45 minutes and mix in some sprints and jogging.Find a safe place to workout and if possible, find a teammate to workout with.

Here is the initial schedule for our 2012 season. We may add a couple extra games if we can, but as of now we have 12 regular games and two tournaments. If you are interested in playing with the High School boys team this spring, please contact Coach Jim Moore as soon as possible. We are currently in an indoor league to get in shape, but practices will begin in January.

Noah boys win last two games

The Noah boys closed out the season on high note, winning the last two games. They played Drumright varsity and won 6-0, giving Reese Lay his second shutout of the year. Noah out shot Drumright 21-0 and allowing them only one corner kick.

Leon Guy led the scoring with 2 goals, Benjamin Moore with 2, and Jacob Donathan scored his first goal of the season (and on his birthday!!). The other goal was due to a keeper error.

In the last game of the season, Noah beat the Skiatook JV 2-1 in a very physical game. Leon Guy started off the scoring on a tremendous shot from the right side of the box. Reese Lay added the game winner, heading in the ball from a great corner kick assist by Nathan Duncan. Noah had 4 shots on goal as Jeremiah Neely withstood 12 shots, a lot of pushing and logged 6 saves in the victory.

For a very young boys team, they had to learn to play together and to never stop trying. They ended the season with 6 wins and 8 losses. The team was led by its only Senior, Leon Guy. He logged 12 goals, 6 assists and 36 shots. We wish him the best as he heads to on to his collegiate career.

Benjamin Moore had 5 goals and 5 assists.
Jeremiah Neely logged 485 minutes in goal with 59 saves and a 2.699 goals against average.
Reese Lay logged 390 minutes in goals with 27 saves, 2 shutouts, and a 3.20 goals against average.

The boys played their best game of the year against Collinsville. The midfield played exceptionally well, controlling the ball most of the game. Leon Guy scored the lone goal from a beautiful throw in late in the first half. And Reese Lay got their his shutout of the year against 10 shots and racking up 5 saves.

Due to some communications by the assistant coach, we had to start the game 2 short, but once we were at full strength, but boys played a great game. Good defense, great goal keeping, and some very good ball movement was displayed in a very entertaining game. We got to see some younger players step up and make tremendous contributions toward the team winning the game.

I doubled checked the schedule and our next game is this Friday at 6:30 at the Owasso Soccer Fields against the Catoosa varsity. Let coach know if you will not be there.

Tough night in the defensive end that led to too many second changes for the Redskins. The NOAH midfield played a very good game, moving the ball and creating a lot of chances. Good to see Tyler Donathan get his first goal of the season! Also thanks for a great turn out by the Jag faithful on another cold night.

Tuesday we play Mingo Valley Christian at 6:30 at the Owasso Soccer Club. Be there by 5:45pm. The soccer fields are west of highway 169 on 116th St. N. We will wear white jerseys and white socks, but make sure you bring your blue ones just in case.

Thursday we play Roger High School also at the Owasso Soccer Club and that game will also be at 6:30. Plan on wearing white for this game as well.

The boys played a great game last night, out scoring the Grove High School varsity team 4 to 1. The young NOAH defense allowed only 10 shots while the offense posted a season high 16. Micah Neely started as keeper for the first time and posted 4 saves in his debut. Leon Guy continues to amaze the opposition with his speed and dribbling skills as he added 2 goals.

Monday we play the Union JV team at 6:30 right after the undefeated Lady Jags play their game at 5:00.

The boys played a very physical Nathan Hale Ranger varsity team Tuesday night. The Jags are still learning to play as a team and their new positions, after having to replace many starters from last year's team. They have really good attitudes and are anxious to learn more about soccer. There was plenty of effort, even if they came up short on the scoreboard.

We play at Grove at 6:00pm on Thursday. Everyone should have their rides figured out and we look forward to a good result from this match.

We will have our first soccer practice on January 17th at 4:00pm. We will practice each Tuesday and Thursday till our first game on February 17th. Our practice field is located just east of 31st and Memorial on the Skelly Drive access road.

Be sure to get your minimum $60.00 registration fee in as soon as possible so uniforms can be ordered. Another soccer meeting is planned for Tuesday night in the Cherokee building at 6:00pm for those who could not attend Monday night. Looking forward to a great season.

Boys Varsity Soccer Meeting

Location is the 2nd Floor Conference Room in the Cherokee Building at 4150 South 100th East Avenue, Tulsa. The Cherokee Building is the 4 story office building in the business park just east and south of 41st and Mingo.

We need to collect a minimum of $60 from each player so that we can order the uniforms.

The NOAH Board is looking for new soccer leadership. Jaguar Soccer will need a new Athletic Director for the upcoming Spring season.We ask all homeschool families to help us find the leaders that can develop the Soccer program while continuing the great tradition of boys and girls varsity soccer.

Youth developmental and recreational soccer provides a great opportunity for homeschool families. NOAH is pursuing a feasibility study for fielding local league teams.

soccer recognition at football halftime

Ladies and parents,

Noah has changed the recognition night for Noah Soccer at the half time of a Noah Football game to Friday September 25th. This Friday was just too short of notice. What I am asking is for all players to check their families schedules and see if they could please attend Friday September 25th the Noah home football game.

All players would wear their soccer tops to get in free.

Noah Football will be playing OKC Cassidy that night. Football games start at 7:30pm. The plan would be for players to meet outside the Football Stadium gate at 7:15pm. After the halftime recognition, approximately 9pm, players could stay for the rest of the game or go on to other Friday evening activities as I would plan to do since my son Robert is playing Football at Bishop Kelley. I think it would very much be great (bad English) if players could all make it.

Noah's new home football stadium is the Broken Arrow South Intermediate High School field about 1/4 mile east of the 101st and Elm intersection in Broken Arrow. Tina Keller will send out a map and give directions on the team hotline (499-8030).

I hope everyone can give up a couple of hours of one of their Friday nights for their Noah Soccer teammates and to come support the Football team.

upcoming high school soccer

Hello Noah soccer players and families,

Since my last email to everyone about stepping down as Noah girls head coach, I have had further discussions with Art and another parent about Noah Soccer. I'm pleased to announce that I will continue as head coach, with the understanding among the parents and players that when the Spring season comes around I might not be at as many of the games as in years past. We will keep most other aspects of the team about the same as in years past. When I am not going to be able to attend games, Art will coach or possibly another parent.

I would really appreciate any feed back among the parents or players about how the team or training or whatever should be done differently to improve upon the successes of previous years!

Right now my plan is to start Fall training the first Friday of October, which is October 2nd, at 4pm at the health department. Our aim in the Fall is to train every Friday afternoon with some scrimmages or additional training over select weekends. We will communicate through the team hotline (499-8030) and email. Costs will be similar to last season, but because we will keep the same uniforms, returning players will pay $60 less than new players. I would like for us to seriously consider the Spring Tournament to Kansas City as a reward for the girls but as always I will follow the wishes of the majority. We will attempt to schedule approximately 20 games again in the Spring, however this year we will attempt to schedule boys matches immediately following the girls' games to more closely mirrror the typical high school soccer experi

Finally, I want to share some news about past NOAH players and possible new players. Mary Kate Halsmer is attending Jenks High School, I am told, and so will not be eligible to play with NOAH. I'm sure I speak for everyone in wishing Mary Kate the greatest of success at Jenks and with her future college plans! I think Mary Kate has been with Noah Soccer since it's inception and her dynamic speed and competitiveness will be missed. God Bless you Mary Kate and GOOD LUCK!! My Mary is attending Bishop Kelley and so is also ineligible for Noah. Despite loosing two very good players, I think we have the potential to be as good or even better than last year. I have had five inquiries about our program from girls who all have playing experience, two of whom are competitive players. Two of our younger players, Rachel Rose and Andrea Craddock, are now competing for WSA 95.

I would ask all of our former players to talk to others who are eligible to compete for Noah to build a strong team for the upcoming season. And I certainly look forward to seeing all new and returning players at our first practice of the 2009-2010 campaign on Friday October 2nd, 4pm at the health department, 51st and 129th E Ave.
